We can see how that would work.

As much as we enjoy the idea of the stripes being useful for maintaining cooler body temperatures (because it sounds like magic) it's a harder theory to wrap our minds around.
To be quite honest, our favorite stripes theory suggests they are there to help zebras recognize one from another.Just like every human has unique fingerprints, a zebra's stripes never match another zebra.
